Makey Makey Touchpad

Written by T.A.K.. Posted in Tech

Ever wanted to just use a random object as a game/touch/key pad? It is now possible with the MaKey MaKey. "An invention kit made for the 21st century!" Brought to you by two final year PhD students at the MIT media lab; Eric Rosenbaum and Jay Silver.

So this must be some crazy advanced MIT shit you say. But It's a deceptivly simple invention. All you have to do is hook the aligator clips to any two objects to the MaKey MaKey board, let's say you and an apple.

When you touch the apple, you make a connection, and MaKey MaKey sends the computer a keyboard message. The computer just thinks MaKey MaKey is a regular keyboard (or mouse). Therefore it works with all programs and webpages, because all programs and webpages take keyboard and mouse input.

Want one? Of course you do! You can order one here!
